About Us

Our Story

PC was founded in 1999 by John Uphold MD, FACEP with a clear and ambitious vision: to redefine how revenue cycle management companies serve healthcare providers. At a time when the industry often prioritized transactions over relationships, our founder saw an opportunity to do things differently—to build a company grounded in partnership, performance, and trust.

From the very beginning, we set out to deliver consistent, measurable results for our clients. We understood that success in healthcare administration requires more than just processes—it demands insight. That’s why we developed reporting solutions tailored to each client, empowering them to manage their business with clarity, confidence, and data.

But results alone are not enough. We believe that lasting success is built on trust. Through honesty, transparency, and open communication, we work to create relationships where clients feel informed, supported, and confident in every interaction.

Our approach is simple: when our clients succeed, we succeed. By aligning incentives to drive performance, we ensure that our goals are always in sync with those we serve.

Today, PC continues to grow on the same foundation it was built on—strong partnerships, reliable outcomes, and a commitment to doing what’s right. We are not just a service provider; we are a dedicated partner invested in the long-term success of every client we serve.

Who We Are

In an industry increasingly dominated by automated systems, AI and offshoring, we believe the best results still come from a blend of deep expertise, technology and relentless effort. We don’t just process claims; we manage the financial health of our clients who work in the most demanding environments in medicine.

Our approach is built on Four Core Pillars—the standard we live by every single day.

Union
01

Integrity & Visibility

In medical billing, what you don’t know CAN hurt you. We operate with transparency and visibility. You’ll never have to wonder about the status of your accounts or the ethics of our coding. We provide clear access to your data so you can see exactly how we’re working for you—no hidden “adjustments”, just honest results.

02

Commitment to
the Hard Work

Software and AI can’t argue a complex denial or spot a nuanced documentation gap in a Level 5 case. We lean into the “hard work”—those claims that require manual follow-up, clinical knowledge, and persistent phone calls to payers. Our team consists of seasoned experts who understand the “why” behind the code, ensuring you are reimbursed fairly for the critical care you provide.

03

Human Expertise,
Technology Enabled

We use technology to make us faster and more efficient, not to distance ourselves from our clients. By automating the routine, we free up our experts to focus on the high-value, complex problem-solving that generic platforms ignore. Our tech is a tool that gives us—and you—a competitive edge, but it never makes the final decision on a difficult claim.

04

Aligned Partnership

We don’t view ourselves as a “vendor.” Our success is fundamentally tied to yours. This means we are proactive, not reactive. We identify trends in your denials before they become patterns and offer the kind of strategic counsel you’d expect from an internal department, with the scale and efficiency of a specialized firm.
